Who moved my mochar ghonto?

Yesterday I had an excellent Thorer Chochchori (stem of a banana tree) at Didu's for lunch. This was followed by an ethereal shojne data (gourd drumsticks) in ground mustard at my Boro Mashi's. This morning I read Rahul Varma extoll the virtues of Pindi Chhole and other North Indian vegetarian stuff in a confessed effort to placate his vegetarian friends. This was an article in the Sunday Telegraph.

Brushing away the sopshistication of the Bengali vegetarian cusine is criminal for a food writer based at Calcutta IMHO

Dear Kalyan
Read your Park street expedition, very nice...
Hummm ThoD is not the bark of the banana plant ...it is the stem inside
Ghosh Kaku.
If you are still in cal, and still craving for Katti Kebab please check if the " UP-Bihar restaurant" is still there, walk into the kitchen , and eat one freshly rolled mutton, or beef or egg paratha..This restaurant shares the wall with Nizam and in front of Minerva...But if the restaurant is gone ...then bad luck...
